A Bit About Our Produce

mofga certified organic logoOur vegetable production is focused on storable winter vegetables and some cold hearty greens grown in our greenhouses. We sell and market our vegetables starting in September with a farm stand at the Common Ground Country Fair, in October we begin our bi-weekly winter CSA distributions, and weekly winter farmer’s market and wholesale deliveries. We finish selling produce by February. See the list below to find our produce in stores and restaurants along mid-coast Maine. You can also visit our stand at the Local Food Exchange every Saturday from October-February in Blue Hill.

The majority of the work put into growing our produce is done with horsepower or hand power. There is also great emphasis put on soil quality. We rotate our crops with cover cropping year after year and use composted manure produced by the animals on our farm to fertilize our vegetable fields.
