Our Nursery
Our 2026 Tree Sale is over but we have a few hundred trees left and will be selling those via walk-in sales at our tree barn, Monday through Friday, April 27-May 1, 8a-6p. Self-serve, then call us when you’re ready to check out (instructions on sign in barn)! If you want to check inventory to see roughly what we have available before you come out, you can look at this super-simple spreadsheet which we will only update at the end of each day.
Our organic nursery is coordinated by Seth Yentes, who started growing fruit trees for wholesale in 2006. The nursery now grows for wholesale to a few distributors, the largest of which is FEDCO Trees (a nursery cooperative of which we are members). The fruit trees we grow are bud-grafted or bench-grafted to combine the desired variety, such as Black Oxford apple, onto a compatible rootstock that will define its final size: standard (full-size), semi-dwarf or dwarf. The trees are then grown in our nursery for two seasons. If you are looking for high-quality fruit trees that are cold-hardy and pest- and disease-resistant, we highly recommend the FEDCO Trees catalog, in paper or on their website. They are generally open for ordering from early Fall through mid-March. We have a Tree Sale for the general public at the farm once a year, usually the last weekend of April. You can check for updates on the blog or on our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
Our 2026 tree sale was April 25 & 26! Save the date for the last weekend of April in 2027: April 24 & 25! We don’t take any reservations or pre-sales.

Apples
When you look at a list of apple varieties that we post, or at the tag on your apple tree, the variety name will be associated with a rootstock name or abbreviation. This indicates which rootstock we have that variety grafted onto, which determines how big the tree will get at maturity, how quick it will fruit, and how much staking, pruning and watering it will need. Here are the rootstock categories: Standard (full-size) rootstocks: Antonovka (Ant), Seedling, Borowinka, Malus domestica (M. Dom). Semi-dwarf rootstocks: B118, M111, G890. Dwarf rootstock: Bud 9
In general we grow:
Apple Trees
Pear Trees
Plum Trees
Cherry Trees
Peach Trees
Elderberries
Juneberries
Kiwi
Raspberry
Black Chokeberries
American Chestnuts
